Jan Nivelle is currently the trainer of the spanish national team for young riders. Yesterday he held a clinic here in Madrid, Somosaguas, and we were there to get some inspiration and learn from studying and listening. I got to know Jan 2004 when I attended his clinic here in Madrid, this was also when I got to know Start that was then 5 years old. In the clinic I was riding a black PRE stud stallion not really made for dressage but that did not matter, as long as there is a problem to solve through riding Jan is interested. First he seems to scan the horse to find the weak spots. Then he figures out how to resolve the problem and invents a method if necessary. He has a open mind to the rider and is very clear in his communication and instructions. He makes an effort to see the psychology of the rider. It is obvious he finds his job as a trainer very interesting and he teaches in a lighthearted way. I remember getting great inspiration from his lessons. He is a GOOD trainer.

More horses!

Nr 464 Carthusian stallion with very old carthusian bloodlines - Urquijo and Terry, makes him the typical & traditional PRE stallion, now rare to find! We find stallions like Poseido VII & Famoso XIV in his lineage. Very sweet and pretty horse with a good suspended movement and correct basic training.

Nr 465 Tall, elegant and athletic PRE stallion! Very interesting bloodlines from Yeguada Militar and Escalera - Vinatero III, Remache and Ocle =) Made in Spain for dressage! He is APTO i.e registered for breeding.
His sire is a GP stud stallion, see last photo.

We proudly present...

... horses we sold to Scandinavia! These are some of them over the past couple of years, horses we carefully selected with much enthusiasm and personal engagement. We are lucky to love our work and our horses, it is very personal for us which horses we select for our people and for ourselves. For most of us the match-making becomes a emotional journey. For some even self-developmental (that would be me) and for others it is a pure business to buy a horse. From being in touch we know very few of our clients resell their horses which means they are happy! We love the iberian races - PRE & PSL - and we are very determined only to sell good quality horses. First because they represent us and our work and second because it is only fair to the race of the horse. We are certainly not racists, but these purebred horses stems from a long tradition of the breeders' great emotive work which need to be appreciated and maintaned. The Iberian horse is the horse of a king. 'My kingdom for a horse' like Shakespeare said. But they are not only horses for Gods and regal people but really for humble deadly people like ourselves. So we do care for this race but we are not saying it is the best. It only is for us.

Two vetchecks

One of the horses vetted today
Today was another vetcheck day, two horses, both were made in our stables and both passed! We have a team of very professional collegues, thank you so much for doing a good job and being cooperative!
1. The seller of the horse drives the horse to vetcheck and for viewings.
2. The vet does the exam within a days notice.
We have been informed that the prepurchase exam we had made for Donoso and Start was the first ones (made in Spain/Portugal) ever to be recognized and accepted by our swedish insurance company! Donoso was by our vet and Start by portugese vet.
